Pro Camera
Shoot Apple Log with full manual control: ISO, shutter, white balance and focus, each with its own lock. ProRes 4K, and a live LUT in the viewfinder so you see the final look before you press record, in the correct color space. Underneath, the file stays clean Log, ready for serious grading.
LUT Generator (.cube) NEW
The newest thing in FilmLab Pro, and you won't find it in any other mobile editor: turn your look into a .cube file and use it in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. Build the look on your phone, carry it through your whole pipeline.

Node Graph, Color Wheels, Curves, HSL Qualifier, Power Windows, 6 scope modes, Apple Log → Rec.709 converters and Tonal Zone Looks. A grading suite that holds its own against desktop, on a phone.
Multitrack editor

v3.3.8 · Stable Preview, focus and fluidity
June 11, 2026
See your image stabilized in real time, before you even hit REC. Plus smoother editing and dozens of performance fixes.
Stable Preview NEW
See your image stabilized in real time, before you even hit REC (in the ••• menu, STAB). Exclusive hybrid stabilization, and your recording is never altered.
Tap to focus always honored FIX
Tap to focus is now always honored. Manual exposure mode no longer locks focus.
Sharper preview FIX
Preview rendered at your iPhone's exact screen resolution, sharper and more efficient on every model.
Editor
Smoother timeline playback with no playhead jitter, large projects no longer re-render the audio mix on every edit, and projects with hundreds of takes open without crashing.
Project protection FIX
Important protection against project loss in rare system failures, plus faster export.
v3.3.7 · Camera, transitions and performance
June 10, 2026
Lens crash fixes, redesigned transitions perfectly in sync, and the LUT generator gains a Log option.
Camera lenses FIX
Fixed the crash when recording with the 0.5x and 2x lenses on iPhone 15/16 Pro. The app now picks the right format for each lens, and only offers formats your iPhone supports.
Front camera FIX
Fixed front camera videos coming out upside down.
Transitions redesigned
Timeline, player and export perfectly in sync. Transitions now show while scrolling the timeline too, with no black frames at the end of exports, and music and captions always stay in sync.
LUT generator gets a Log option NEW
The .cube LUT generator now lets you choose whether to include the Log conversion.
v3.3.5 · LUT Generator
June 10, 2026
Your look becomes a .cube file. Plus a stability sweep across recording and import.
LUT Generator (.cube) NEW
Build a grade in FilmLab Pro, then export it as an industry-standard .cube LUT. Drop it into DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, hand it to a colorist, or load it back into the FilmLab camera as a live monitoring LUT. Your look stops living inside one app and becomes a portable asset. Part of the Pro subscription, included in the 3-day free trial.
Storage warning before long takes
FilmLab now warns you when storage is running low before you start a long take, so a recording never dies quietly halfway through.
Stability sweep FIX
Fixes guided by real-world diagnostics: a ProRes recording crash, a rare freeze when reading external LUTs and an audio-route hang with external mics are gone. Recording sessions start faster and fail less.
The viewfinder shows the real image FIX
Log footage in the viewfinder is only display-converted when a monitoring LUT is active. No LUT, no hidden processing: what you see is exactly what you shot.
v3.3.4 · Audio & Captions
June 9, 2026
Choose your microphone right in the camera, and captions grow up.
Microphone selector NEW
Pick your audio source without leaving the camera. Built-in mics follow the active lens automatically, and an external mic takes over the moment you plug it in, even mid-session.
Captions, leveled up
Duplicate a caption with one tap, edit in fullscreen, pinch to resize and enjoy faster inline text editing. Subtitling a video on the phone finally feels quick.
ProRes rendering fixes FIX
ProRes 4444 exports render correctly, white levels no longer clip and Log files are handled exactly right through the export pipeline.
v3.3 · Cinema Camera
June 2, 2026
Cinema-style camera controls: independent exposure locks, vertical Dual Lens and a redesigned LUT tab.
Independent exposure locks NEW
The same pattern as professional cinema cameras: lock ISO, shutter, white balance and focus separately, each with its own padlock. Since ISO and shutter share exposure on iPhone, priority mode steps in: lock ISO and the camera adjusts shutter on its own to hold exposure, and vice versa. One tap freezes a parameter, another releases it back to auto.
Your camera settings, remembered NEW
The ISO, shutter, white balance and focus you dialed in come back exactly as you left them, across sessions and when switching between single lens and Dual Lens. Nothing silently resets to auto anymore.
Dual Lens, tuned for vertical
Two-lens mode now locks the screen to portrait while recording: the split framing (main lens on top, secondary below) is built for vertical. Leave Dual Lens and rotation goes back to normal.
Redesigned LUT tab
Tighter and smoother: smaller thumbnails that free up the viewfinder, springy selection animation, favorites within reach and a clear split between digital and film LUTs. Choose the look without losing sight of the scene.
Front camera orientation FIX
Removing the LUT on the front camera could flip the image upside down. The selfie camera now always uses the correct orientation path, with or without a LUT applied.
ISO locks to the value you chose FIX
Tap ISO 400 and see 400, not 399 or a wandering number. The display shows the exact nominal stop and your manual value is reapplied deterministically whenever the system tries to drift back to auto.
Focus and exposure with the LUT tab open FIX
You can now tap the viewfinder to focus and adjust exposure while browsing LUTs. The open tab no longer blocks the touch.
Timeline opens in Flow mode
Projects open in Flow mode (clip-focused, centered playhead) by default. Prefer Multitrack? Switch anytime, and your choice sticks.
